Soy crush and pig expansion gather pace at Dabaco

1–2 minutes

Vietnam’s integrated livestock group Dabaco has expanded its soybean crushing capacity in Bac Ninh to 1500 tons per day, with total investment reaching USD 115 million.

The facility is expected to produce over 400,000 tons of soybean meal annually, along with refined oil and lecithin, key inputs for feed and food industries.

The move supports efforts to reduce reliance on imported feed materials and improve supply stability, as Vietnam’s livestock sector continues to face cost volatility. The plant applies advanced extraction and refining technologies, enhancing both product quality and processing efficiency.

At the same time, Dabaco is accelerating its pig production expansion. The group targets 60,000 sows and 1.5 million market pigs in the near term, with plans to reach around 80,000 sows and over 2 million pigs annually before 2028. New high-tech farming projects are being developed across Quang Tri, Quang Ninh and other provinces, alongside expansion into southern Vietnam.

Beyond farming, Dabaco is also investing in feed mills, vaccine research and development, and the commercialisation of its ASF vaccine, aiming to improve production efficiency and reduce disease risks.

Taken together, the expansion of crushing capacity and pig production suggests a coordinated approach: securing feed inputs while scaling output, allowing Dabaco to strengthen control across the extended Feed–Farm–Food chain and position itself more firmly in Vietnam’s evolving livestock landscape.
