CNC Group has announced plans to expand into pig farming from 2026, marking a formal step beyond its core animal feed business. The company, officially named CNC International Nutrition JSC, is currently active in livestock and aquaculture feed, with pig and poultry feed brands Vicoem and fish feed brand eFarm.
According to the roadmap disclosed, 2026 is identified as a pivotal year for CNC to begin investing in farming operations. The group plans to develop pig production through a combination of leased farms, contract farming, and self-invested units, with individual farm sizes ranging from 600 to 2400 sows.
In December 2025, local authorities approved the establishment of CNC Livestock JSC. The new subsidiary will focus first on sow production and piglet supply, with commercial pork production planned to start in 2029. By 2032, CNC targets a herd of 40,000 sows and nearly 100,000 market pigs.
The farming plan follows a year of positive performance in CNC’s feed business. In 2025, feed sales reached 226,000 tons, up nearly 10% year on year, despite disease pressure and challenging market conditions. Pig feed accounted for 55% of volume, while broiler feed represented 30%. CNC reported a distribution network of more than 500 dealers, with over 40% maintaining relationships longer than five years.
For now, the announcement places CNC among feed producers, formally setting out long-term livestock ambitions, with execution scheduled over several years rather than immediate market impact.
